She: Did you find any French books at that store?

He: No, all they had was Chinese books in French.

She: Isn't that what you were looking for?

He: No, I wanted to get some novels in French.

She: You mean French novels?

He: No, I don't care what language they were in originally, translated into French would be fine.

She: So, you didn't like any of the novels they had?

He: I just told you...They didn't have any novels. Just books on how to learn Chinese, written in French.
